About Jordana
Mission: to guide individuals committed to becoming the most powerful version of themselves. It's my joy to "hold the space" for and to support my students and clients as they embrace self-growth and discovery. Sometimes simply finding stillness unveils those secret moments that are so rare.
Passion: supporting people to activate their "superpowers", and transform their lifestyle to age powerfully. We've all watched beloved friends and family members become feeble with age, that's not inevitable - research shows movement is one of the best things we can do for our bodies and our brains. It's amazing how transformative committing time and energy to self-care can be!
Experience: includes 3 decades of work as a Yoga teacher, Health & Life coach and a Massage therapist. I have become a keen observer of how the body, movement and emotions all intersect. We store everything in our bodies from stress and trauma to joy.
My heart is filled with gratitude to my many teachers and mentors, including every client and student I have ever worked with, I have learned from everyone. I am humbled and blessed to have had the experience of working with veterans at the Walter Reed Army Navy Medical Center where I witnessed the power of Yoga Nidra to help alleviate chronic and acute pain, PTSD, and severe insomnia to help reset the nervous system! This experience inspired me to become a certified iRest® Yoga Nidra teacher.
Further, I had the pleasure of working as a Yoga Therapist on a (now published) study utilizing yoga for lower back pain for veterans - it works! Jordana is certified in the Fishman Method to teach Yoga for Osteoporosis, Yoga of the Heart (for Cardiac and Cancer patients), and a number of other modalities.
For massage, I mostly practice deep tissue, but each session is custom designed for the individual.
My approach combines deep body wisdom, movement expertise, and a commitment to helping clients unlock their potential for resilient, vibrant living and staying stable and active as long as possible, while maintaining mental and physical strength and stability.
